What is the product?
Nordic Chem Antimicrobial is a long term surface coating that will create an inhospitable surface environment for germs, bacteria and enveloped viruses.
The coating is not removed by regular cleaning and disinfecting, providing an additional layer of protection between applications.
The Enveloped Virus is physically disarmed by the nano spike technology
How does it work?
- Water-based, long-term antimicrobial coating is designed to inhibit the growth of micro-organisms for extended periods after application.
- Once the coating has dried, it forms an invisible layer of “nanospikes” that penetrate and destroy cell membranes.
- Due to these “nanospikes”, our product’s process of elimination is mechanical instead of chemical
- This is extremely effective in both high and low traffic areas. The active ingredient in the coating is ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) registered and compliant. The coating can be applied to and bonds with almost any surface – porous or non-porous, glass, metal, leather, fabric etc, all within 2 hours of contact application.
A Mechanical action to break the virus membrane
- The coating will not be removed by normal cleaning or disinfectants, it can only be removed with heavy abrasion.
- An invisible shield of protection that is undetectable to the naked eye.
- Within 30 minutes the coating will be touch dry with a further 2 hours to cure completely bonding to the surface it has been applied to.
- A testing patch and liquid will confirm if the biocide is active.

At the point of application the Technician will place testing stickers in areas of the surfaces being coated. One of the stickers will be coated and the other sticker is left untreated.
The Technician will return to your premises with a testing solution that tests for the presence of a the nano spike action remains in tacked and effective.
