MOSQUITO
(CULICDAE)
House mosquitos consist of a thin body, thin wings and long legs. Whilst the male relies purely on nectar, the female mosquito is the only sex that can penetrate to feed on human and animal skin. They often breed over or near stagnant water, with some active areas including bird baths, decorative ponds, buckets, tires, rain gutters and even children’s swimming pools.
