STARLING
(STURNIDAE)
Adult starlings grow up to around 8 ½ inches in length. They will adapt to the seasonal changes and depending on the environmental conditions will appear to be different colours.
In the warmer months, they are black with an iridescent green-purple sheen and a yellow bill. In winter, starlings are brightly dotted with white and gold, whilst their bills are dark in colour. A largely insectivorous animal, they feed on insects and anthropods, this includes bees, beetles, flies, grasshoppers, spiders, and wasps.
